The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced the 2025 HSA limits.
- The annual contribution limit for individuals with self-only coverage increased from $4,150 to $4,300.
- The annual contribution limit for family coverage increased from $8,300 to $8,550.
- The High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) minimum deductibles increased from $1,600 to $1,650 for self-only coverage and from $3,200 to $3,300 for family coverage.
- Out-of-pocket maximums increased from $8,050 to $8,300 for self-only coverage and from $16,100 to $16,600 for family coverage.
- The limit for an excepted benefit HRA is increasing from $2,100 to $2,150 in 2025.
The above limits are effective for HSAs for calendar year 2025 and for excepted HRAs for plan years beginning in 2025.
