TRI-AD Actuaries, Inc. (dba TRI-AD) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Scott, Tellier and Co., Inc. and TPGR Daily, LLC (STCO/TPGR) located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Effective May 1, 2014, all of STCO and TPGR’s employees will become TRI-AD’s newest associates and the foundation of TRI-AD’s new Phoenix office location. The acquisition of STCO/TPGR, which provides Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plan consulting, daily record-keeping and administration, will position TRI-AD for growth in the regional marketplace and beyond. The acquisition also provides a secondary location for disaster recovery and business continuity purposes.

TRI-AD announced a new service offering for participants in its daily-valued retirement plans such as 401(k) and 403(b) plans. AdvicePlus is an online tool that educates participants on investments, recommends asset classes, mutual funds, and the amount to invest in each, recommends deferral rates, and helps participants understand if they’re on target. If they’re not on target, AdvicePlus recommends the changes needed to get there and can then make those changes on behalf of the participant.

TRI-AD is pleased to announce a new release of its proprietary Reimbursement Plans participant website. Coupled with TRI-AD’s recently-released mobile application, this upgrade significantly enhances users’ account management experience across multiple devices. Participants who log into their Flexible Spending Accounts, Commuter Benefit Plans and other reimbursement plans administered by TRI-AD will find changes to the home page that make it even easier for them to find what they need quickly, as only information that applies to them is displayed. Each function of the site has been streamlined to be more intuitive as well as easier to navigate on tablet devices. Participants can also use the Benefits by TRI-AD mobile app to manage their accounts on their smartphones.

TRI-AD is pleased to announce the release of "Benefits by TRI-AD," a new mobile app that allows participants to file reimbursement claims and more using their mobile devices.
Now available in Google Play and the iTunes App Store, Benefits by TRI-AD allows plan participants to check balances, view claim status, view payment and contribution information, and submit a claim for reimbursement from their Flexible Spending, Tuition or Wellness Accounts. Using their phone's camera, participants can take a picture of their receipt and attach it to their claim before they even leave the provider's office, pharmacy or store.
"We are very excited about what the future holds for TRI-AD as we bring additional functionality to mobile devices. As the world becomes increasingly oriented to mobile devices, we will deploy more and more of our participant access applications on the mobile platform," said Ram Seshan, TRI-AD's Chief Technology Officer.
